Dr. Lakshman is a board certified plastic surgeon practicing in Pasadena, Glendale and the greater Los Angeles area. He specializes in plastic and cosmetic surgery of the face, breast and body. He has extensive experience with the popular "mommy make-over" procedure which is breast augmentation with saline or gel implants or a breast lift (mastopexy) combined with a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) and liposuction/liposculpture. Combining these procedures effectively treats the changes that occur after child bearing and breast feeding, targeting the loose, stretched skin of the breasts and abdomen that do not respond to exercise and weight loss.
Facial rejuvenation, both surgical and non-surgical, is another focus of Dr. Lakshman's practice. He has trained extensively in the use of minimally invasive products such as Botox Cosmetic®, Juvederm®, Radiesse®, and the entire line of Obaji® skin care including chemical peel, to achieve the best results for each patient. A sophisticated analysis yields beautiful results and Dr. Lakshman uses his experience and training to find the right combination of treatments for each individual.
When non-surgical treatments alone are inadequate to address age related changes of the face, Dr. Lakshman relies on his experience in traditional plastic surgery techniques including upper and lower lid eyelift (blepharoplasty), face lift, neck lift, and brow lift to deliver fabulous and long lasting results.

The mommy make-over is a surgical procedure that combines breast augmentation (with saline or gel implants) or mastopexy (breast lift) with a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) and liposuction/liposculpture. This procedure is designed to turn back the clock and reverse the changes that go along with child bearing and breast-feeding. Often the muscles and fascia (the tough covering over the muscle) of the abdomen become stretched out after pregnancy, especially after multiple pregnancies. These changes usually do not respond to sit-ups and dieting and leave behind stretch marks and loose sagging skin. In some cases, the muscles can even separate in the midline, creating a condition called rectus diastasis. After women are finished breast-feeding, the previously engorged breasts can shrink in size, leaving behind drooping skin and breast tissue.
With the mommy makeover surgery, all of these changes can be treated in one setting. The results are phenomenal and most patients ask themselves why they didn't have it done sooner!
