When Botox, Juvederm, chemical peels and laser resurfacing are unable to reverse the signs of facial aging, a traditional face and neck lift can be a powerful, effective treatment that safely and reliably decreases the apparent age by up to ten years. When properly performed, the result can last up to ten years! This means that you can look ten years younger for another ten years. This is not an exaggeration. These are expected, predictable results.
The ideal time for a face lift is in your 40’s and 50’s. While this seems very young, this is when the skin still has retained enough of its youthful turgor and elasticity to respond to surgical tightening and resuspension. When you wait until your 60’s and 70’s the overall effect, though still dramatic and powerful, will not last as long.
When performed by a properly trained board certified plastic surgeon, the results are safe, symmetric, and long lasting. Injury to underlying nerves with resultant drooping and facial imbalance, are rare occurrences. Bleeding and scarring are uncommon in my practice.
Patients often ask me about thread lifts, lifestyle lifts, lunch lifts and minimally invasive face lifts. I feel that these are gimmicky and more about sales pitch then patient safety. Chances are, if your procedure is seen on a late night TV infomercial, it is not a sound procedure and should be viewed with extreme skepticism and caution.
My face liftincorporates a neck lift. It comprehensively treats the cheeks, the jawline and jowls, and the loose sagging skin of the neck. This procedure has evolved over several decades of experience based on the work of the best plastic surgeons our field has produced. There is no margin for error and there is nothing experimental in this technique. This insures consistent excellent results.
You feel young. You are in the best shape of your life. Let your face reflect how good you feel!
